Day Twenty-eight - Waiapapa Bay to Kaikoura

BB Brothers once again… the team was all fired up this morning and ready to go after a beautiful home cooked meal last night which was brought up by Sue. Thanks heaps Sue!! A cracker of a day greeted us for another walk in the sun.

It was such a beautiful day we decided to get out of our beloved van and take some action shots of the walk from out on the rocks of the coast. Cheeky Cairnsy tried to get us wet by throwing rocks in the shallow pools of water beside us so we decided to get him back….. as we got closer the the walking group of Cairnsy, Dave and Sophie, we hung out the window and got them soaked by squirting a bottle of water all over them… Simon decided to go one step further and clock Cairnsy in the back of the neck with a half smooshed up Banana hahaha I think we won this battle!

As we continued to wind around the coast, the scenery just got better and better. It was unbelievable to see how many slips the coast has had to deal with, we are glad we have got through with out any hassles.

Cairnsy was greeted by one of his old mates Denis Aberhart who used to be his cricket coach in his grasshopper days. He jumped out of his vehicle and joined Cairnsy for the last kilometer. Thanks to John for catching up with Chris.

Max and Robin Reelick from The Kaikoura Food Company approached us at the end of the days walk and offered a full breakfast the crew tomorrow morning. I must say having a fully cooked breakfast is quiet a change from cereal and just poached eggs in our motel rooms.

Tonight will be a quite one with a few of the crew going down to the local eatery to watch the Warriors game.

Until tomorrow, BB Brothers over and out!
